Postpartum Support Group

All mothers with babies through three months of age are invited to bring a brown bag lunch and share your concerns. Siblings are welcome. Discussions include:

  • Are you feeling overwhelmed, or suffering from the “baby blues?
  • Finding time for yourself
  • Feeding problems
  • Sibling adjustments
  • Sleepless nights
  • Birth control/intimacy

Schedule: Every Friday (12:00 - 1:30 p.m.)
Location: Pediatric Conference Room (fourth floor)

Mom-to-Mom Peer Support Group

For moms and infants three months to one year . Current information on topics of interest, plus sharing with others in the group.

Preemie Parent Mentors

The Tiny Miracles Foundation (TTMF) has a Parent Support Network (PSN) that offers confidential one-on-one emotional support from an individually matched mentor or from mentors who are available in the Tiny Miracles Foundation Resource Room at Norwalk Hospital.

Schedule: Every Friday (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

The Women's Health Resource Center

The Women's Health Resource Center provides free health information to women, their families, and the community.

The Women's Health Resource Center offers Internet access and multimedia educational resources, from CD-ROMs and DVDs to videotapes to books and pamphlets.

Materials are available for lending, allowing information to be shared at home with family members at their convenience.

The Resource Center focuses on the women in our community, as women are often the gatekeepers for their families' health care needs.

The Women's Health Resource Center is also an authorized hospital-based Medela® rental station for breast pumps, supplies and maternity/nursing bras.

Location and Hours of Operation

The Women's Health Resource Center is located on the fourth floor of the Norwalk Hospital between the Childbirth Center and the Pediatric Unit, near Elevator B. The Women's Health Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
